Kim Wilson, Founder of The Loretta Johnson Global Abstinence Project & Movement, is a Speaker; Author; Professor; Researcher; and Consultant. Kim focuses on speaking about the urgency of promoting abstinence especially to Black and Hispanic Women and Girls, who need it the most, but receive it the least. She also presents specific workshops and seminars that she has developed, entitled "Experiencing God's Best for Your Life through Abstinence" (for Women and Girls) and "Abstinence is the Cure" (for Leaders and Parents). The information from the workshop and seminar are being presented throughout the United States and on 3 continents and over 20 countries, to approximately tens of thousands of women and girls by Kim Wilson, as well as other presenters in Africa, Asia and North America and continues to increase.
HIV/AIDS related illness is now the leading cause of death among Black women ages 25-34 and Black women account for approximately 70% of new cases of HIV in the U.S. Also, 72% of Black children are born outside of marriage and being raised in single parent homes headed mostly by their mothers (and no fathers). Hispanic women account for 21% of new cases of HIV in the U.S and 53% of Hispanic children are born outside of marriage and being raised in single parent homes headed mostly by their mothers (and no fathers). Therefore, if we lose Black and Hispanic single mothers to sexually transmitted diseases, a large percentage of children will have no parent they can depend on or who will want to raise and love them (which has already happened to a generation of children in sub-Saharan Africa). This is an epidemic that is killing and destroying the lives of too many Black and Hispanic women and girls and children in the United States, Africa and world-wide.
Because of this, Kim focuses on speaking about and promoting Abstinence especially to Black and Hispanic women and girls in the United States, Africa and worldwide to help them experience God's best for their lives. She focuses on the facts, research and experiences to promote Abstinence as the only 100% method, to avoid the problems that come with outside-of-marriage pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases, because this solution to the problem needs to be promoted quickly and widespread to Black and Hispanic women and girls, who need it the most, but receive it the least.
Kim also works with God's Active People/G.A.P Ministries which has been in existence for over 26 years for the benefit of others in the name of Jesus Christ in the United States and on continents of Africa, Asia, North America, South America, Europe, and Australia, and numerous countries around the world. She has helped many Christian churches and organizations to increase their outreach by implementing effective projects and events to help others and to reach hundreds of millions of people for Jesus Christ throughout the United States and globally, such as Goodwill/Jane Fonda Entrepreneurship Outreach Project for Low-income Women, marketing of Mel Gibson's major film "The Passion of the Christ", Christian Women’s Home Business Network, Atlanta Homeless Shelter for Women and Children, Anti-drug Project (“Get High on Jesus; Crack the Bible”) and many others.
She has served as an Adjunct Professor for Regent University and Liberty University (two major Christian Universities) and author of several books and training guides including her latest book, "The ABSTINENCE Handbook: For Women and Girls Throughout the World". Kim has been a guest on many national, international and local radio and television shows and has had many articles written about her organization and contributions throughout the United States and globally.Kim earned her B.S in Marketing from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana and M.B.A in Marketing from Atlanta University in Atlanta, Georgia.
